Green Hands USA: America Volunteers

Virginia Beach Earth Day 2009 takes place THIS Sunday, May 3 for those of you who missed the boat the first time around.

The event will take place from 11-5 p.m. at Mount Trashmore Park, Virigina Beach (I know, the irony of that name is killing me!) 

There will be great children's events, including a Kids Zone, where you can do all kinds of great green crafts and such... 

There's music and entertainment from lots of local bands, and even electric boats you can check out, out on th lake. Lot's of good grub will be there, and of course, over 65 vendors all strutting their stuff, from Andy Aboriculture to Bikebeat to Virginia Natural Gas. They will all be Categorized in various themes such as: You & the Environment, Home & Yard, and Auto, just for your easy browsing pleasure!

There will be rain barrels for purchase, contests, games, and lots of cycling events. 

Basically everyone who is anyone (in VA) is going to be there, so you should be too!

The events are hosted by the Earth Day Event Board, the Virginia Beach Clean Community Commission, and Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation.
