Singer Sarah Kelton Offers Free Song for Climate

Stephanie Valera, December 03, 2009

Singer Sarah Kelton, whose songs have been featured in television shows on NBC, Fox, and MTV, has offered her song "The River's Tears" as a free music download on the Sierra Club's social networking site, Climate Crossroads.

The song, which is helping generate awareness of climate change, may just be the perfect soundtrack to the upcoming climate conference in Copenhagen.  "Nature is a healer," Kelton tells Planet Green. "In this song, I saw the river as taking stress away, taking anything that needed to be released and washing it off and dissolving it."

Kelton began her career in the Colorado folk scene as a solo artist in 2004.  She plans to record a full-length album in the spring with three-time Grammy award-winning producer Tom Wasinger of Lost Angel Studios.
