Drake Announces Eco-Friendly Tour

Rising rap star and Grammy nominee Drake will embark on his first solo tour of the US, promising to implement an eco-friendly policy through 25 cities.

As part of the 5th Annual Campus Consciousness Tour, Drake will join will a showcase that includes Canadian rapper K-OS and synth-pop band Francis and the Lights, to promote environmental sustainability through music.  Drake will also showcase an "Eco-Village" with tents which will feature environmental and other socially conscious groups educating on green technology, student carbon-offset programs and eco-friendly consumer sampling. He has "greened" his tour with the use of biodiesel fuel and biodegradable and recyclable products on the bus and backstage.

The rapper will be making stops at 15 college campuses, including Penn State, Michigan State and University of Central Florida, and will also be making stops at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and sharing the stage with Paramore and Ke$ha at the Bamboozle Festival in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Drake's "The Away from Home Tour" runs April 6 through May 8. His tour dates, according to a press release:
