Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato 'Make a Wave' for Eco-Awareness

Stephanie Valera, February 21, 2010

Disney pop music icons Joe Jonas (of the tween favorite Jonas Brothers) and singing sensation Demi Lovato have recorded 'Make a Wave', the newest single for Disney's Friends for Change: Project Green, which aims to promote eco-awareness among young fans.

Jonas told E! News during a behind-the-scenes interview that the song "is about how kids, families ... [should] do what they can to protect the ocean. It's part of Friends for Change, which is a charity and a part of Disney." According to Lovato, the song has already made an impact on her personal life: "It's started out as not drinking as many water bottles; it turned to continued to getting a filter in my house — it's the little things that are going to make a difference."

The single will premiere on Disney's radio station on February 26. On March 14, the video and single will go on sale on Apple's iTunes store, and all proceeds will benefit environmental charities through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.
