Bands such as the Pete Kilpatrick Band, Eve6 and the Soul Survivors have joined the IZstyle Tour, which travels to ski destinations across the U.S. to encourage everyone to "protect our winter."
As climate change heats up a major environmental issue, winter skiing destinations could be the worst affected as they may lose the one thing they rely on to keep the visitors coming and their skiiers happy--the snow.
To help spread the green message and encourage skiiers, snowboards and music fans to take action against climate change, the IZstyle Tour has partnered with Reverb, a non-profit organization founded by environmentalist Lauren Sullivan and musician Adam Gardner. Asin previous years, Reverb has set up an eco-village at each stop of the tour, which includes alternative energy and transportation exhibits aiming to educate visitors about how they can reduce our environmental footprints, all natural and organic food samples, and ski and snowboard demos.
Stops on the tour include Sunday River in Maine (March 14 and 15), Crested Butte Mountain Resort in Colorado (March 21 and 22), and The Canyons Resort in Utah (March 28 and 29).
