Black Eyed Peas, Sheryl Crow to Play Bumbershoot

Stephanie Valera, June 23, 2009

The Black Eyed Peas and Sheryl Crow have joined the lineup of Bumbershoot 2009, joining other big music superstars such Katy Perry, Modest Mouse and Franz Ferdinand at Seattle's music and arts festival on September 5-7.

Held at one of the nation's greenest locales, Bumbershoot has strived to be one of the most socially responsible and environmentally festivals . This year, however, the Festival is going beyond its recycling and carbon offset program with the Bumbershoot Gives Back project. Recognizing the important nature of social responsibility, Bumbershoot is supporting arts, culture and environment-focused non-profit organizations in meaningful ways that will contribute to immediate and long-term goals. This includes providing voulunteers, training and tools to deserving organizations.

Great music, a green mission, what more can you ask for from a rockin' festival? Get more information on Bumbershoot 2009, including complete lineup, interviews and videos at Bumbershoot.org.
