Companies wanting to get into the green revolution and save money in the process should start looking into telepresence -- meeting online to save on travel -- says a new report.
The report, "The Telepresence Revolution," says that companies in the US and the UK will save
$19 billion over the next ten years by embracing telepresence technologies. At the same time, it would reduce CO2 emissions by 5.5 million metric tons.
Other advantages of telepresence? It improves productivity and speeds up decision-making, says the report.
Just so ya know, the study was commissioned by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and sponsored by
AT&T. Both groups have something to gain from these technologies, but then again, so do you.
