Off-Grid Networking Connects People With Living Spaces

John Platt, January 26, 2011

Interested in going off the grid? A new service can help you connect with others who have already made the leap or who are also considering it.

LandBuddy is a free service from Off-Grid.net that connects people who are either off the grid now, are interested in off-grid living, or who want to help others live off the grid. LandBuddy includes free classifieds, Google Maps searching for interested parties in your area, video, photo sharing and much more for the off-grid living enthusiast looking to connect with others and share information.

Off-Grid.net further offers technical information, case studies, personal accounts, and other topical information on the use of solar power, wind power, high tech composting and rainwater harvesting, and its offerings continue to expand. Founded by Nick Rosen, author of the book OFF THE GRID, the site is a wellspring of useful and practical information to free oneself from the grid infrastructure and still enjoy all the modern comforts one wants in a home.

Give it a try and let us know what you think!
