Apple has approved Novothink?s new solar-powered case called the Solar Surge, a combination case and solar charger that can help you to keep your iPhone and iPod from running out of juice when you have no access to a charger or outlet.

According to Novothink, this portable solution is perfect for the heavy iPhone user who wants to stay in touch with the office or friends but also wants to save some energy.

The Solar Surge has a solar PV backing that can transform 2 hours of sunlight into an extra half hour of iPhone power, and has four hours of power stored in the integrated lithium battery. And the case ain't too shabby to look at, with a sleek design in four colors.

There are two models available: A $69.95 version for the iPod Touch and a $79.95 version for the iPhone.
