Traveling to meetings costs money, wastes time, and produces an obscene about of carbon emissions. HP has come out with a new tool to help you reduce the carbon footprint of meetings and save you money in the process.
HP's new SkyRoom is a low-cost videoconferencing sytsem that uses both a webcam and software to enable virtual meetings and online collaboration. It's also dubbed as an easy-to-use system, which could help some of the traditionalists in your business finally make the switch away from face-to-face meetings.
In addition to videoconferencing, the SkyRoom suite of software allows document sharing and supports even memory-hogging applications like video or 3D modeling.
SkyRoom will be built into HP Z workstations starting next month. It's already available as separate software with licenses for businesses of just about any size.
With a starting price of just $149 per seat, this could finally the affordable online meeting solution we've been waiting for.
