Have you ever wanted to attend Burning Man, but couldn't make the trip? Well now's your chance to experience the event through the virtual world of Second Life, where you can have fun and hear environmental messages without ever leaving the comfort of your home.
Burning Life, the virtual event, runs this week, through October 25h. It features hundreds of incredible set-ups, where you can dance, exchange ideas, learn about various causes, and just have a great time.
The creativity on hand at this year's Burning Life is amazing -- and needs to be seen to be believed. There's a display of life on Earth during its primodial stages; a chance to ride desert turtles; places where you can learn about evolution and global warming; an art exhibit devoted to peace; and a whole lot more.
Now, Second Life isn't for everyone. The learning curve is pretty steep, and you need a pretty powerful computer to experience it efficiently. But if you're already on SL, check out Burning Life and see what you can learn!
